Europe · 1 reviewI had my knee replacement in February this year. I am from UK and over there I was on waiting list for consultation. I had a very reliable recommendation regarding knee replacement in Ahmedabad at Shalby Hospital and got in touch with Dr Bharat. Dr Bharat straight away got me consultation with Dr Vickram. I came to India on 9th Feb and consultation on 10th and operation on the 13th. Stayed in the nice luxury room for 4 days after operation. Dr Vickram Shah performed my knee replacement and all well well. I am leaving for London on 14th April, but before going I visited the hospital and Dr Bharat and Dr Vickram saw me and my recovery has been excellent. I don't think I would get this type of service in UK. So I would like to thank Dr Vickram Shah and all members of staff for looking after me. 🙏

Europe · 1 reviewDr. Abhishek Jain is a senior consultant oncosurgeon, specializing in performing all minimally invasive thoracic surgeries. He specializes in uniportal VATS (video-assisted thoracic surgery) lung surgery, which is considered one of the most complex surgical procedures. I would like to share my experience as a cancer patient with Dr. Abhishek Jain at SG Highway and Krishna Shalby Multispecialty Hospitals. My case was related to 'Advanced Gall Bladder Carcinoma'. I have already written on google app the story of my cancer journey in a review of Dr. Viraj Lavingia, Director, GI Medical Oncology and Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist at the hospital, so I will not repeat it here due to space constraints. Every chemo day the nurse was having a lot of trouble finding my vein. After knowing my problem Dr. Viraj suggested me to get a chemo port implanted. With his reference and my consent Dr. Abhishek Jain implanted a chemo port in my body on 23rd February 2024 to ease the process of chemotherapy. On May 8, 2024, after a successful surgery performed at HCG Aastha Cancer Centre, Dr. by Bharat Prajapati and his team, I was declared cancer free. As a part of the 'Follow-up Care Plan', I was following the flushing schedule of the chemo port as recommended by Dr. Viraj Lavingia. In the last week of December 2024, I started feeling a strange pulling sensation around the right collar bone where the chemo port was implanted. On 11th January 2025, Brother Deepak Bhai of 'Krishna Shelby Hospital' was not successful in flushing the chemo port. Dr. Jahnavi asked us to meet Dr. Abhishek Jain. Only he could take the final decision. I messaged Dr Abhishek. The important thing was that he was in Paris attending a medical conference, but he still read my message and wrote to me to meet him at SG Highway Shalby Hospital on January 15. He welcomed us with a smile, then listened carefully to the whole story. He first got an X-ray done; everything was fine. He also tried to flush it himself but was unsuccessful. Now the only solution was to remove the chemo port as there was a blood clot in the catheter. He spoke to Dr. Viraj and decided to remove the chemo port. He assured me, 'This is a small surgical procedure. It will not take more than twenty minutes.’ On 22nd January, while giving the injection near the chemo port to numb the area around it, Dr. Abhishek told the team present in operation theatre, ‘Do you know Madam is an author and writes in four languages?' His friendly behavior reflected emotive maturity. After about 20 minutes of surgical procedure, the chemo port was removed. He closed the incision with stitches and walked out of the OT. I had just stepped off the table and walked two steps when Dr. Abhishek came back to the OT. He put his hand on my shoulder and said, 'Are you okay?' I said, 'Yes Sir, I am okay only because of you people.' My feeling at that time was amazing! I realized that the language of touch is not an alphabet. It transcends the body and reaches non-physical sensations. I had also a wonderful experience with nurse Jagruti Zala of ‘Krishna Shelby Hospital'. Throughout my treatment. Her gentle behavior always gave me a different positive energy. In every meeting Dr Abhishek reminded me that good things can come out of even bad situations. May Dr. Abhishek always remain dedicated to his duty and provide high quality treatment to his patients. Our best wishes will always be with him. By God's grace, I have been able to maintain a healthy relationship with all the doctors and all the hospital staff involved in my treatment. Mallika Mukherjee, Cancer Survivor- Ahmedabad

International · 1 reviewWe came to Shalby Hospital due to the recommendation of Dr. Vikram Shah and he and his hospital team of doctors, nurses, dietitians, psychologists, PT, and admin have exceeded our expectations. My mother is 82 years old and had a TKR done with Dr. Shah's Zero Technique. Just 24 hours post surgery she was able to comfortably walk and even climb a flight of stairs. The entire process from pre-care through discharge has been outstanding and we would highly recommend any of our foreign or local friends to come to Shalby Hospitals if they need to do a TKR surgery. We will be shifting to the Shalby Krishna facility for post-rehab care for 1-2 weeks and expect to see equally excellent care during recovery.
