Dr. Periakaruppan. He clearly explained the benefits & risks of the treatment & answered all my questions. The doctor took the time to explain everything & was not rushed. He explained the meaning of the test results in a way that was easy to understand. Empathy & bedside manner Dr. Periakaruppan was very calm & reassuring, which helped ease my worries. We felt comfortable & supported, Above all it is worth traveling from Dubai to here for the treatment.

My mother-in-law is currently undergoing surgery for an intestinal issue at Kavery Hospital. From the moment we arrived, we have been receiving excellent care and support. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Swaminathan S (MBBS, MS, MRCS, Abdominal Transplant Fellowship - USA) for his exceptional expertise and guidance. He explained the condition very clearly and treated us with great patience and kindness, which gave us a lot of confidence during this difficult time. The doctors here are highly experienced and provide treatment with great care and a friendly approach. The nursing staff is also very supportive and attentive. They are always available, respond quickly, and take care of every small need of the patient. The hospital environment is clean, well-maintained, and hygienic. The overall management, including admission process, coordination, and timely updates, has been very smooth and well organized. We are truly thankful to Dr. Swaminathan Sambandam and the entire Kavery Hospital team for their continuous support and excellent medical care. I would highly recommend this hospital for quality treatment and compassionate service.

My father was diagnosed with tongue cancer and underwent a major surgery where a portion of his tongue was removed (amputated) and sutured. While the surgery itself was successful, the issues that followed with aftercare, discharge, and emergency services were deeply concerning. During the hospital stay, my father was regularly attended by a female physiotherapist who provided careful and appropriate guidance. However, just before discharge, a different male physiotherapist attended without properly reviewing the case history. Despite the fact that my father had just undergone major tongue surgery with fresh sutures, he advised him to perform exercises such as trying to touch his nose with his tongue and moving it side to side. This was clearly inappropriate for his condition and directly contributed to the sutures coming loose. The discharge process was poorly handled. There were no clear, written recovery instructions or properly validated exercise guidelines reviewed by the senior surgeon. With proper discharge planning and coordination, this entire situation could have been avoided. The most alarming experience was with the emergency service. When we rushed my father to the hospital around 3 AM after the sutures gave way, his condition quickly became critical he was literally between life and death. Unfortunately, the emergency team appeared inexperienced. They did not thoroughly review his medical history and focused only on the visible issue. Their handling made the situation significantly worse by applying excessive pressure to the surgical area, which caused the sutures to completely open, leading to heavy blood loss and a near collapse. It was extremely distressing to see that there was no experienced senior doctor immediately available, and the attending staff seemed to rely on calls with other doctors to manage the situation. While we are relieved that my father is now stable, this entire episode highlights serious concerns regarding aftercare, discharge planning, and emergency response. I would also like to raise a concern regarding transparency. I was asked to provide a review on the day of discharge, which I did a two-star review reflecting our experience. However, I later noticed that my review had been removed. My father was discharged on 23rd March, and upon checking the review section, I observed that nearly all reviews are above 4 stars. This raises concerns about whether lower-rated reviews are being removed. I am rewriting this review in the hope that these issues will be acknowledged and rectified, and so that others are aware of the gaps in aftercare and emergency services. That said, I would like to appreciate the doctor who performed the surgery. He was highly skilled, caring, and very clear in explaining the procedure and recovery process. We are truly grateful for his work. I want to be very clear I am not trying to defame the hospital or the doctor. My intention is only to share our experience so that improvements can be made and patients can be better informed and prepared.

Heartfelt Appreciation for Exceptional Cardiac Care at Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet We visited Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet on the 26th of November for an angioplasty procedure, and our experience was truly commendable from start to finish. Exceptional Medical Care Dr. K.P. Suresh Kumar deserves the highest praise for his professionalism, clarity, and reassuring approach. He explained the procedure in clear, simple terms without any fear-mongering or exaggeration. His confidence and patient-centric communication put us completely at ease and gave us immense trust in the treatment journey. We are extremely pleased with his work and guidance. Dedicated and Compassionate Support Staff Every member of the support team went above and beyond to ensure comfort and well-being. Nurses: Ms. Bhuvaneshwari and Ms. Jagadeshwari were consistently attentive, calm, and caring. Floor Manager: Ms. Deepika stood out for her exceptional coordination and sincerity. Insurance Staff: Mr. Shridar helped us navigate formalities with ease. Ward boys and male nursing staff (names unfortunately not noted) were phenomenal—extremely polite, highly professional, and genuinely dedicated to patient comfort. Their collective efforts created an environment where we felt supported at every step. Hospital Facilities The hospital overall is clean, well-kept, and easy to navigate, with convenient parking. However, a few facilities could be improved—air-conditioning in waiting areas, better ventilation near the 1st-floor restroom, a larger 3rd-floor waiting space, and smoother elevator accessibility. These enhancements would significantly elevate the overall patient experience. Food Services The canteen food was surprisingly good and added to the positive experience for both the patient and attendees Despite a few facility-related improvements that could be made, the quality of medical care and the sincerity of the staff truly set Kauvery Hospital apart. We deeply appreciate the efforts of the entire team, and based on our experience, we would wholeheartedly recommend Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet to our friends and relatives.

Late post: happened 3 weeks ago. Patient is discharged from the hospital and moved to assisted living facility 50km away from kauvery hospital alwarpet. The patient need prescription refills. The original discharge summary and prescription are with the doctors in assisted living. Went to the pharmacy connected with kauvery hospital for prescription refills. They refused to refill without the original prescription. When said the patient is an aged 78 yr old male in assisted living and needs urgent medication, they refused to budge. It's funny that they don't have access to patient's record though the pharmacy is connected to the hospital. They don't have digital record of the patient either. This is such a crappy process. Asked them to call the doctor and take approval and then provide the medication. They said they can't call the doctor and funny that they don't have an internal messaging or calling system to connect with the doctor. Such a harrowing, inefficient process they follow not keeping in mind the patients critical health condition
